My journal is my safe space.

It contains every version of me.
An object that grows with me and holds my story.
It is important to never loose that connection with myself, and that is the reason that I write.
The brain is loud, but the moment the pen touches the paper, the noise stops.
The be able to pull apart your feelings and drop the immensity of them along with my thoughts into a physical space is a quiet relief and is maintenance for my sanity.
My journal is the clearest map of endurance.
When I question my growth, I can turn back to a year ago to see the handwriting of a different me, dealing with things that felt absolutely crushing at the time
The mistakes made, the people I've met, and the progress that I have made...
..... and through it all, I can see the small steps I took to figure things out.
It is more than a memory.
It is tangible proof of evolution, self acceptance, strength and the lessons learnt along the way.
What makes my Journal so precious is it's singular purpose: to hold my truth.
It is the continuous, unedited story of my mind.
An object that is inseparable from my identity and growth.
It is without question the most honest item that I possess.
